(I went to school with him from 1st grade-6th grade, and 10th-12th. He was class of '02 with me.) Monty was living in Rikunzen-Takata in the Iwagi province of Japan and working as a teacher. He was last seen heading into the town center of Rikuzen-Takata after the quake and before the tsunami. The tsunami wiped Rikuzen-Takata off the map completely. YouTube videos of the town during the tsunami show the story. The wave was well over 80 feet at the town, and people know that because that was the height of tallest building, and it was fully engulfed and destroyed by the tsunami.
