So, for whatever reason, the Cel.ly integration with the Giterary wordcount feed fell apart. Either something is weird with how I'm generating the feed and they are silently ignoring new entries, or, they aren't doing RSS feeds any more. Either way. If you're still interested in getting a wordcount update, the RSS feed is available here: http://arch.giterary.com/stats_rss.php?file=Skysail/Skysail_Prime/Bookmaking.collection As I like notifications on my phone for when this changes, I've actually plugged the feed into IFTTT, which just gives me notifications at least once every 15 minutes if the feed is updated. 215k words, at time of writing.

For anyone interested, and perhaps as incentive to try out the idkfa Cel.ly: I figured out how to get Cel.ly to update periodically with book stats. That is, total word count, updated in increments of 100 words, for the book Mike and I have been working on since summer of 2012. So, you know, next time you're curious how it's all going. Now your answer is online. And automated. And somewhat mobile-friendly.

kaiden: I like the simplicity of the Cel.ly interface,

I like the simplicity of the Cel.ly interface, and it seems to work pretty well across both web and mobile clients. It's interesting that you can have point-to-point conversations where you are just talking with one person via direct message (and have push and email notifications apply the same). Unfortunately, I don't see where one has the ability to start a temporary group conversation. This would be something I'd want if, say, I wanted a message to go to a subset of people, and have the potential for that conversation to remain among that subset (say, GTA5 bat signals, or whatever).

Cel.ly Everyme Path I've been lurking on Cel.ly for some time. It has an interesting feature where a "cell" (a group chat) can have what they call "receptors" and "transmitters." A receptor can be another cell, or a feed like a public Twitter account or an RSS feed (something that could link the cell with updates from idkfa). This kind of integration appeals to me, as it means that depending on the cell, and the type of message, it is possible to get push notifications on one's phone for services that are not "push-y."
