idkfa is an online discussion forum. It is custom-written using PHP, MySQL, Vim, a Macbook Pro, and love.
idkfa is built to be an efficient passive communication method. It is designed with the following principals:
Other popular forum software focuses on things like user's signature and post count, subforum administration and moderator delegation, and emoticons. We believe that those things don't necessarily serve a user's best interest who is looking to participate in things they care about. idkfa prefers simple, unobtrusive features, that empower users rather than parameterize their user experience. Whatever that means.
This is the third version of this software written since 2002, with its most recent incarnation occuring some years after its 'retirement' in 2007.
