As of this morning: 77% rebuilt. Also, Windows Genuine reared its ugly head again, claiming I hadn't purchased a legitimate copy. Going to have to unfuck that between Christmas decorating.

You didn't happen to install windows updates on or around 9-10 DEC, did you? Because microsoft fucked up HARD on a patch around that time that hit Win7 SP1 that borked the Windows Update

I did indeed. Although I have sort of an obsession with RAID, using Windows backup should be adequate, considering I still have the NAS to store all my media (with RAID).

If you can figure out the 7b situation, the Intel RAID tools allow you to clone a non-RAID disk at the same time you put it into the RAID array. I did that with mine.
