The Senate needs to declare war in order for that bit of treason to happen. Since the Senate has only authorized military action, then its not treason for those reasons. Diplomacy is all about image and message control. What's being leaked is the messages that lead to a final product - essentially the rough drafts. It hurts us politically to have our dirty laundry aired out, but I guarantee a couple of things: -the dirty laundry of other countries is just as bad and just as damaging, -you just know there's a few countries in the world whose internal communications we've breached. I'll bet we've used that as blackmail on some other countries in order to prevent reactions from this leak.
