Two things:

1. I believe you drove at a later point in the evening, in which case you weren't very drunk (or at least I hope you weren't). This is a moot point, as my main point is...

2. I lit of my fair share of fireworks as well, a drunk person can certainly light fuses - my point is that it would be much safer to have someone actually sober handling or at least overseeing it, so that mistakes aren't made (and risk is mitigated). Like the poor bastard with the blown up hand, I'm sure if someone sober had been around him it wouldn't have happened. Or, perhaps the front yard explosion wouldn't have happened if someone had said, "Erik, let me take that to the street, I don't think letting a drunk asshole light that on a deformable surface is a good idea."

In any case, I had fun, and am glad no one got hurt... but I certainly don't want to put any of my friends in that situation again! I mean, I like JD. Lol.
