From Katy's dad I hear that a weekend long type thing isn't uncommon. They'll have something informal 1 night, a big formal event another, then some kind of fun activity another day. That or they can't nail anything down so they just want people to be aware of the entire weekend being a possibility for an activity till a venue gets rented and secured...

I did in fact offer to help two days ago, funny because I think my email may have prompted this last mass letter to everyone because i was asking questions about what was going on. Kinda pissed because our anniversary is the next weekend and we're going to mexico for a several days to celebrate.
