I'm conflicted on it.
My parents and other relatives say that I should go, as it's an interesting study in other people's lives, and that it only happens once every ten years, and that it serves as a good comparison for one's twentieth reunion.
On the other hand, based on brief polling, there's considerable disinterest up here. Plus, I'd probably rather be out biking. Plus, I'd actually have to talk to people. Or remember people's names.
I don't know. Such things remind me of when you have to decide whether to go to a funeral for somebody you didn't know very well. You're at once a piece of shit for going and offering shallow condolences, and a piece of shit if you decide you'd rather honor their death by doing some living. (Also, not referring to any specific funerals.)
