The Atari's cover of "Boys of Summer" is a triple threat:

  • It was a hit the summer after my senior year of high school.
  • It's about nostalgia and not being able to return to the past.
  • It's a cover that was modified from the original to be more relevant to our generation, and already the modifications are losing relevance.

Additionally, The Format has an album or two that I listened to on repeat (quite literally, as I had a 45 minute commute) while I was living in Arizona. Curiously, a lot of the songs are about living in Arizona.
